About Me
I am a climate scientist studying sea ice and its role in the Earth system.
My main interests are Antarctic sea ice, ice–ocean interactions, and grounding line processes. I study how winds, storms, and waves shape sea ice and influence its variability.
I am a researcher at the Korea Polar Research Institute, where I study sea ice and ice shelf processes in the Amundsen Sea. Before that, I worked at New York University Abu Dhabi and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. I co-chair SCAR’s AntClimNow program and serve on WMO and CMIP steering committees shaping global polar research.
